Enea Autonomous Underwater Vehicle

Enea is an hybrid Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (AUV) with extreme maneuverability capabilities. The vehicle can also operate as Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) thanks to a connection buoy or a classic umbilical cable. With a modular design and fast battery replacement feature, it is the perfect instrument for underwater inspections and surveys.

Automatic Mosaicing and Orbital Maneuver

Results of a sea trial including real-time mosaicing of the area, planning and execution of orbital maneuver. Orbital maneuver highlight the possibility of keeping the point of view into the desired location while moving around the location over a circular path. This unique capability, possible with our hybrid AUV/ROV, provides high valuable data when combined with high frequency front looking sonars.

Automatic Mosaicing and Camera Inspection

In this video, we presented an automatic acoustic survey conducted during a demonstration. The system while scanning the seabed with the sidescan sonar is able to reconstruct a geo-referenced mosaic of the acoustic images. The operator can select from such a map a point of interest to be inspected later. During the demonstration we moved into the identified spot and we performed a visual inspection with the HD camera.

Underwater Hull and Propeller Inspection

In this video, we presented a video from an hull inspection at low distance, including an overview of the vessel propeller. Zeno AUV can be operated as hybrid ROV/AUV using the communication buoy, hence removing the need of an umbilical cable while preserving all the real-time feature classical ROV operations.
